Books in September

September is always a very very busy time in this household.                                               But I still try to read – even just a few pages before I go to sleep.

So here are the books I currently read and I have ready to start (one of which I am awaiting arrival).

–          Still reading >> The Mortal Instruments 1: City of Bones by Cassandra Clare

I think this one takes me a while because I know how it goes since I have watched already Season 1 of Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments  on Netflix.

–          I am also still on >> An Echo in the Bone (Outlander #7) by Diana Gabaldon

I fear this story is losing me a little, there is only so much DAILY life I need to read about… but I will persist to see where it ends.

–          I have finally bought >>Empire of Storms, the latest book in the Throne of Glass series by  Sarah J. Maas

This one I cannot wait to get stuck into. I always seem to pick book series that are not finished and am surprised that I need to wait…

–          The last one for this month >>> Theft of Swords (Book 1 in the The Riyria Revelations) by Michael J. Sullivan

I have picked this one out of interest when I came across these recommendations by thelittlebookowl. This is a great little blog > go on and have a look at it.

There you have it; life seems pretty dull and boring without my books. Feel free to check them out or add some of yours in the comments.

Until then as always – stay safe J. xx

6 Awesome Quotes about PETS

As you may know by now, I love my pets (I know I have only introduced one yet and Rick is having fun in doggy heaven, I promise I will continue the introductions soon).

So here we go:

  2. “Dogs have owners, cats have staff.” ~ Anonymous

  3. “A house is not a home without a pet.” ~ Anonymous

  4. “Until one has loved an animal,  a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.”  Anatole France

  5. “Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our lives whole.” ~ Roger Caras

  6. “Love is a four-legged word”

Feel free to add yours in the comments, I’d love to hear them. J xx

Gift Wrapping – months to go but…

Gift Wrapping

This is another of my favourite pastimes. And considering how fast the time has gone since last Christmas I am already looking forward to the nights spent wrapping and rustling and hiding parcel packages – gifts.

Above are only three examples of my little artworks 🙂 , nothing too fancy because sometimes basic is more effective.

So peeps, be prepared for my numerous posts and photo’s come the jolly season, after all I am now giving you months notice :-).
